By hosting auctions, Silky Hound helps find new guardians for pre-loved pups of the soft toy variety. Half of all proceeds go directly to dog rescues across the United States.
Each Silky Hound enjoys a thorough grooming and glamorous portrait session before finding their forever home. The plushie pups get deep cleaned, brushed, and repaired if necessary, before heading into the auction spotlight.
Once they’re adopted and ready to ship to their winning bidder, they get adorned with a ribbon and a tag, then packed up snugly with their personalized introduction card.

Why Auctions?
Auctions provide a fun, accessible way to acquire your unique, new-to-you pal.
Instead of finding out your favorite Silky Hound got scooped up before you arrived, an auction gives you multiple opportunities to bid and express your interest, and Silky Hound is all about second chances!
It’s easy, too.
Each plush gets assigned a starting bid based on its size and condition. When you fall in love, just place your bids, keeping the rising increments in mind. There are no buyer’s premiums or fees. Just pay the hammer price, applicable tax, and shipping costs.

About Silky Hound
Silky Hound began when we saw a video of Midge, a shelter dog who went viral for just wanting to nap on a long overdue day out of her kennel.
It can be hard for dogs to get proper rest in shelter environments, especially in ones with fewer resources and foot traffic.
​
We also noticed how many dog plushies were stuffed into thrift store bins hoping for a new home. Things clicked. Something could be done for everyone. Enter Silky Hound. It's about dogs helping dogs, while spreading love and fresh starts!

Half of all auction proceeds go straight to animal rescues in need.
